Week 2: This week we decided what our new groups were going to be for the crime documentary project, as Mr. Nick wanted to change it up so we'd have new people to work with. We got familiar with Blogger.com again and created our first four blogposts. This week was mostly for organizing and getting introduced to what we're going to complete this term. we got started on our brief and began to do some research. We analyzed a few documentaries and looked into the general tropes that were in them. After watching and paying attention to about 5 different documentaries, we found that they were all very similar and we got a lot of inspiration to follow for our projects.

Week 3: This week, we continued to do more research, as well as starting our statement of intent. My team and I were overflowed with different ideas of what we wanted to do. The research that we did gave us lots of inspiration and we were struggling to choose one story to go with. In the end we all agreed to a murder crime documentary. Our statement of intent is unfinished but it helped us finalize our ideas. We're all very excited to execute our plan.

Week 4: This week my team and I got started on our storyboard. We talked about the concept of our project and made a draft of what we might want some of the scenes to look like. Maxine is our artist for our storyboard because she's very skilled in drawing/sketching. We also talked about possibilities for where we're going to shoot our scenes and put everything into a location scout + risk template. This helped give us a better idea for our content as well because we know more now about where and what we're working with. Lastly, we started brainstorming dialogues for our script. This was the most tricky task because as we're still trying to finalize our idea, we don't know what we want our actors to say just yet. We decided to just make a rough draft and get it started, so later on we have something to work with during the beginning, but we can make changes along the way. We got a lot done this week and we're closer to being ready for the shooting stage in the project.

Week 5: This week we continued working on our storyboard, our script, our location and we began our filming schedule. We finalized our ideas on what actors we're going to use for our characters, which then helped us finish more of the script. Doing this made it easier for us to plan our filming schedule as well.  My classmate, Arnold, was absent for a lesson so Maxine and I got a lot of planning done while he was away. We also have a unit assessment next week which we are preparing for, so during a lesson, we practiced writing essays to answer one of the two questions that will be on the assessment. We learnt how to use AI to help us study and so it can ask us questions and we can practice answering back and forth.

Week 6: This week I was absent for some lessons because I was sick, but my class started working on their CR prep. They told me that it wasn't too difficult and my classmate is going to help me catchup over the rest of the week. I also started filming this week with my dad, since he's one of the actors. It was done in my house, all I had to do was set the scene up so it looked like a professional interview and my dad had to remember his lines. After sending it to my group, we made notes together on what could improve, so I'm going to be redoing it so the final product is exactly what we envisioned.

Week 7: I was away for most of the lessons this week since I was once again, sick. When I got back to school, my classmates helped me catch up on the Snow White movie that we were learning about. I learnt about what theories connected to the film and about power in the audience/media. I used this information later on in the unit assessment in which I got a satisfactory score.

Week 8: This week we spent all of our time in our lessons working on our blogposts. Our due date is next week on Tuesday, so we had a lot to do. Mr. Nick gave us checklists so we could easily stay organized and keep track of what we had to complete. We got a lot of feedback on our documentary editing and had to change and improve a lot of our work. CapCut made our editing process go very smooth and it was easy for us to keep making tweaks and changes to our footage.

Week 9: This week, we had one last lesson to work on our blogposts. The submission was supposed to be on Tuesday at 12pm, but Mr. Nick extended it to Wednesday 8am. My group and I completed everything before the deadline and used the extra time to go through our checklists and make sure everything is in place.
