Moodboard

Here is my groups mood board. Cassie and I made this together.

Having a mood board helped my team and I have a visual idea that we can all get inspiration from when executing our music video. To create the pages, we used Pinterest to find and download images. We were also able to share an album with each other, so it made the task a lot faster and easier. Each page is dedicated to a different person/people. The first page is based on the couple, the second is the artist in her persona for the video, the third is about the boy, and last is inspiration on what we want our dates to look like in the video.

Characters:

Ellie Collins (artist) - Ellie is shown as a very shy, introverted, and quiet character. To show this in our music video and mood board, we displayed it in her style. In the images we chose, we can see that she's dressed neatly and wears soft colors. She enjoys the little things in life, like flowers, her dog, coffee, sweet treats, photographs, etc. She's a big hopeless romantic and has lots of love for others, which will be shown in her acting and the concept/storyline of the video.

Karl Williams (boy) - Karl is going to be the artists love interest in the video. He's shown as a nerdy, quiet, aesthetic and mysterious guy. His style is very dull and he only wears basic colors, but he does wear glasses. He expresses his love for Ellie by being a gentleman and treating her very well in the video.

Altogether, the couple will be shown as adventurous, fun, in love and they'll be very happy spending time with each other. We have multiple date locations that should give us an aesthetic background for our scenes, as well as creating that vintage vibe that we were aiming for. We also thought about our representations and how this is going to be based in Indonesia, so some of our locations clearly show that.

Reflections:
This mood board was really fun to make. It included lots of creativity, and it made our artist easier to visualize. Since I'm going to be the actress for the video, seeing the inspiration that we're following made me feel more comfortable going into the filming stage. Next time, completing the mood board first would be very helpful, just because it ties everyone's ideas together and puts our level of understanding at the same place.
